4-Minute Quick Reset
Four minutes of fast relief for tired eyes: distance gaze, blinking and a short relaxation.
- Blinking exercise 60 s
- 20-20-20 break 20 s
- Palming 120 s
Sometimes there is no time for a full routine, but your eyes are already telling you they need a break. The Quick Reset is a 4-minute sequence for exactly those moments: between meetings, after a long video call or before a drive home after work.
It focuses on the three things that help tired eyes the most in a short time. First you look into the distance to let your focusing muscles relax, as in the 20-20-20 exercise. Then you follow a rhythmic blinking cue to spread a fresh tear film over the eye's surface. Finally a brief relaxation, such as palming or slow breathing with closed eyes, helps you release tension in the face and shoulders. Each step is guided with a timer, so you do not have to watch the clock.
You can use the Quick Reset as often as you like, several times a day if you work on screens. It is a comfort tool, not a treatment: it will not change your eyesight, and persistent dryness, pain or blurred vision should be checked by an eye-care professional.
Frequently asked questions
Is four minutes really enough?
It is enough to relax focusing and refresh the tear film for a while. For more lasting comfort, combine it with regular breaks and a good screen setup.
Can I repeat it several times a day?
Yes. There is no limit; repeat it whenever your eyes feel tired.
Should I take my glasses off?
Keep them on for distance gazing if you need them to see far; take them off for palming.
